Aidan McCartney scouting report
Aidan McCartney is the 2026 draft’s most intelligent "leading specialist." A 191cm mobile forward with dual eligibility for North and Sydney, he is a high-IQ target who thrives on elite spatial awareness and clinical finishing. Despite hip surgery slowing his 2026 campaign, his "blue-chip" fundamentals and ability to kick goals from impossible angles make him a premium, versatile tall prospect.

More from the scouting notes
Aidan mirrors Waterman’s "elite lead-up" profile; he isn't a 200cm monster, but he uses superior work rate, timing, and "one-grab" marking reliability to become a relentless scoreboard threat who rarely wastes a shot
