Archie Hill scouting report

Archie Hill is the 2026 draft’s premier "backline general." A 182cm standout for the Gold Coast Suns Academy and nephew of triple-premiership star Cameron Mooney, Hill is an elite rebounding defender with a surgical right foot. Renowned for his leadership and high-IQ positioning, he thrives on taking the game on with explosive run-and-carry and pinpoint distribution that sets up scoring chains from deep in defense.

More from the scouting notes

Hill mirrors Sinclair’s "quarterback" role, combining elite composure and a penetrating kicking game with the bravery to slice through the corridor and transition the ball from defense to attack under extreme pressure.
