Ethan Matthews scouting report
Ethan Matthews is the GWS Academy’s premier "smooth mover" for 2026. A 185cm left-footed utility, he thrives on the wing and half-back, where his "ice-cold" composure and surgical disposal efficiency shine. With VFL experience already under his belt, Matthews is a high-IQ distributor who specializes in transitioning the ball with precision and flair. A pure class act.

More from the scouting notes
Matthews mirrors Daicos’ elite outside-mid profile, using exceptional spatial awareness and "silk-like" disposal to act as a primary link-man who rarely wastes a possession.
